No. 10-Justin Verlander was masterful in his eight inning, fourteen strikeout performance against the Yankees.  He will get a chance to earn win thirteen later in the week and could thrust himself in the Cy Young discussion if he can string together some more wins down the stretch.

No. 9-That's twenty straight games with a hit for Ben Revere if you haven't noticed.  We mentioned Revere here last week as a prospective add.  You may be getting in on the back end of the hot streak, but jump on the bandwagon while it lasts.

No. 8-Yu Darvish struggled again on Monday night against the Red Sox.  Darvish is now 1-4 in his last five decisions dating back to the first of July.  The strikeouts are still there, but Darvish gets in trouble yielding free passes.  Many thought he would tire down the stretch and get hit more in the second half as offenses got a book on him, but the primary culprit appears to be patience from opposing offenses.

No. 7-Mark Reynolds was contributing to your fantasy team on Monday, but not in the way we are accustomed to see the Orioles' third baseman perform.  Reynolds managed to go 3-for-3 while scoring one and driving in another.

No. 6-Dustin Pedroia was on fire Monday night smacking three doubles, scoring once, driving in a run and stealing a base.

No. 5-Wade Miley continues to quietly impress.  Miley took the loss on Monday despite allowing no earned runs over six innings.  Performances like this should convince owners to adopt quality starts as a category over the much more subjective wins.

No. 4-Jayson Werth has hit in all five games since his return from the disabled list.  Werth kept up the streak on Monday with a two hit outing.  Werth has value in all formats and could be a nice boost over the last several weeks of the season.

No. 3-Fantasy owners were on pins and needles after Aramis Ramirez sat out two games recently with an injured wrist.   Ramirez returned to the lineup Sunday, and he came up big with a home run on Monday.  He appears to be fine and you can plug him in to your lineup without reservation.

No. 2-Justin Morneau has been on fire lately with seven multi-hit games in his last eleven games.  On Monday Morneua was 3-for-5 with two home runs and and four runs batted in.

No. 1-Forget trade deadline deals, the best addition this summer has been the Braves working Ben Sheets back in to their rotation after a couple of years of being out of the game.  Sheets has been phenomenal for the Braves and Monday was no different.  Sheets held the Phillies to a single run on seven hits as he pitched into the eight inning.
