Daily 10 - July 6

#10 - Matt Garza cannot keep the ball in the park.  3 more taters given up to the Braves Thursday night brings his total for the year up to 15.  The Cubs aren't shopping him, at least publicly, but it'd be a real surprise if they wouldn't move him in the right deal.  Gamble his gopheritis problem gets solved because everything else is there.
#9 - As for the other side of the bump, we told you to gamble on Mike Minor.  Lefties eat up the Cubs lineup and he's been better of late as he's lowered his ERA over a run since late May.
#8 - I'm very late to the party, but this Jose Quintana guy is for real.  Except for that blip in Yankee Stadium he has an ERA under 2, a ridiculous 32:7 K:BB, and has induced more than 10 ground balls in 5of his last 6 games.
#7 - I'm not late to the Matt Harrison party though, I've been on this train since March.  Despite being hung with the tough luck loss he has 8 quality starts in his last 9 games, and the one missed quality start was a 5 IP shutout performance.  Like Quintana, the strikeouts aren't there, but for what you paid for him he has been a tremendous bargain.
#6 - Santiago Casilla's job is officially on thin ice, he blew his 3rd save in his last 4 opportunities Thursday night as he's yielded runs in 4 of his last 6 appearances.  Sergio Romo owners that have remained patient, you're on alert.
#5 - Dee Gordon hits the shelf for the next 6 weeks, Gordon owners may not realize this but this is a good thing as he's been killing you in 4 categories.  Dump him.
#4 - Salvador Perez, you are ridiculous.  After a 4-5 night he is now hitting .425 with 8 runs, 3 home runs, and 7 rbi in just 11 games (40 AB's).  To put that into perspective, in less than two weeks he's done more than Brian McCann has done in the past month.
#3 - If you have some dead weight buring a hole in your roster, pick up Tyler Colvin for the weekend.  I have zero faith this lasts, but he's hot, see if you can latch on before he cliff dives.

#2 - Matt Carpenter drew a start at 2nd base, I'm not sure if this is interesting or not but it at least has my attention.  Fall in line.

#1 - Ryan Howard is making a cameo just before the All Star break, hope he hits a couple of home runs then trade him over the break.  If you followed our draft plan you're good in power numbers and I don't want to deal with guessing when Howard will and won't start, I just know he'll be pinch hitting more than I'd like.
