Daily 10 - June 8

| More

10 - Interleague play is beginning so there may be some shuffling of lineups you need to be aware of.  Raul Ibanez and Will Middlebrooks immediately come to mind.  The former may not start a road game as the Yankees regular DH vs. RHP and the latter was finding playing time hard to come by already and the Red Sox often trot David Ortiz out into the field to keep his bat in the lineup.  Monitor closely.

9 - No, I cannot explain what's gotten into R.A. Dickey.  Just enjoy it.  His name won't get you anything close to what he's worth in a trade, so just enjoy the ride.

8 - In a season that has been anything but normal for closers who would have thought Jonthan Broxton would be one of the steadier options?  It'll be difficult to cash in with a July trade imminent, but ensure his handcuffs as both Aaron Crow and Greg Holland are capable of taking the job and sport solid ratios and K's in the meantime.

7 - Aroldis Chapman gave up a run!  I know, crazy!

6 - Full disclosure, as big of a Jason Kipnis fan as I was preseason I did not expect anything close to this.  I expected 15/15 with 20/20 upside while hitting enough to get him to the 2 hole, at his current pace he is looking at 110/25/100/35 with a .280 average.  Lofty expectation, blown out of the water, and he's legit.

5 - After a frustrating first month for Alex Rios owners he is starting to carry his weight.  He was hitting the ball well early on, just not when runners were in scoring position so this looks more like a good Rios year rather than a flukey hot streak.  Hold.

4 - Quintin Berry has provided some much needed speed to many owners rosters and now it looks like he'll stick in the lineup even after Austin Jackson returns.  With Brennan Boesch and Delmon Young struggling and Andy Dirks shelved an every day audition awaits in left field.

3 - Brian Fuentes is on a day-to-day basis right now, another messy outing and expect a replacement.  I think Oakland wants Ryan Cook in the 8th, so logically that leaves a second chance for Grant Balfour, right?  I'm not so sure.  Sean Doolittle has been absolutely filthy ever since transitioning to relief pitching after an injury in 2010 and has finally gotten his call.  Even if he doesn't get the call initially expect it soon enough and if he maintains anything close to what he has done he will help with K's and ratios in the meantime.

2 - Dayan Viciedo hot streak, over.  Another will return, but as he's shown in the past it may be a while.

1 - Lastly, there's a light at the end of the tunnel Evan Longoria and Pablo Sandoval owners, Panda is expected back early next week and Longo may be following a week later.  Rejoice!
