10 – Matt Kemp returned from his Disabled List stint in the minimum 15 days, which is great news for fantasy owners. He went 1-for-4 with a double on Tuesday night and should pick right up where he left off...or so we thought.  Kemp tweaked his hamstring running the bases and looks like he's headed back to the DL.  Uh-oh.

9 – Jered Weaver and Roy Halladay were put on the Disbaled List this week. These are major blows to owners to say the least. For those who have Weaver, take a look at Jerome Williams. He could be a nice filler for the next few weeks.

8 – Eric Hosmer looks like he’s finally taking a step forward for his patient owners. He’s got his average back over .200 and homered Tuesday for the first time in the month. He still has some work to do, but it’s encouraging to see a few three-hit games in the last week.

7 – It doesn’t appear that Bryce Harper will ever be in the minors again. The rookie is really starting to come into his own and show all of his tools. He has six multi-hit games in his last 11 and is hitting for power and stealing bases.

6 – I’m not sure where R.A. Dickey came from, but all of a sudden he’s becoming fantasy relevant. He’s thrown back-to-back gems, going 2-0 in 14.1 innings, allowing one earned run and striking out 21. Dickey has to come back to reality real soon, but he should be used as a matchup pitcher.

5 – That’s four straight quality starts for Cincinnati Reds pitcher Homer Bailey, but it’s hard to tell with him if this is real or not. Cincinnati has had such high hopes for Bailey for the last few years and he just hasn’t been able to put it together. Keep an eye on his next few starts.

4 – Unfortunately, Giancarlo Stanton did not homer last night for his fantasy owners. He had an off night and only went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a stolen base.

3 – Who is the No. 1 ranked fantasy second baseman this season? If you guessed Jason Kipnis, you win. Kipnis has five multi-hit games in his last seven and is absolutely crushing the stat sheet. Eight home runs and nine steals already.

2 – The hottest player in baseball right now is Melky Cabrera. He again had a big night at the plate last night, going 3-for-4. He’s 8-for-11 over the last three games and is now hitting .376.

1 – Chris Sale did work last night as well, posting 15 strikeouts in 7.1 innings. That’s three straight wins for the Chicago pitcher. He now has 61 punchouts on the year and a sparkling 2.34 earned run average. He has some very favorable matchups coming up as well, including Seattle this weekend, so look for another big pitching line.
